About us
Japan DAISY Consortium (JDC) is one of the full members of the DAISY Consortium which is an international association that develops, maintains and promotes international DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) Standards. The DAISY Consortium is constituted as a not-for-profit association under Swiss law and is governed by Articles of Association.
Organizations, librates, developers, publishers, educators, advocates and individuals from More than 40 countries join the DAISY Consortium.
Japan DAISY Consortium was established in March, 2003 and plays active role in promoting DAISY Standards both domestically and internationally.
Japan DAISY Consortium holds seminars to give the information about the development of DAISY technologies and the international movement in the context of print disability issues. Japan DAISY Consortium also produces DAISY contents concerning the Great East Japan Earthquake.
