URGENT NOTICE
Emergency Relief for the Visually Impaired Persons in Earthquakes and Tsunami Area

EFFECTIVE DATE: Sunday, March 27, 2011

Japan Federation of the Blind (JFB) is requesting donations to help visually impaired persons in the disaster area.  Many victims of the earthquake and tsunami are elderly,  their families, friends, homes, and possessions have been completely wiped-out. Your donation will be used for their immediate relief and stabilization (e.g., food, water, shelter, medicine, clothing, supplies, etc.) until more permanent support is in place.  We are truly grateful for any amount that you can give. JFB accepts donation by wire transfer (detailed below) or in person at our office. Regardless of whether you choose to donate, we welcome volunteers to help us with the relief effort.
